When there are ownership changes for a dog, the original registration certificate needs to be
turned in, the Change of Ownership fee paid and a new certificate is then issued in the
new onwer's name and sent to the new owner.
To request a change of ownership, there is the old paper trail method and for current SABT members
the automated way (via this site) of getting the job done.
If both parties are current SABT members, both parties have to log into the web site and
submit the change of ownership form.
If one party is an SABT member, that party has to log into the site and provide the change
of ownership details where the other party will have to follow the old paper trail method.
Needless to say, if neither party is an SABT member, follow the paper trail method.
